Peach! A witch who wants to be a magic girl!

1. Her curly pink hair is inspired by my own curly, short hair! Pink because I love pink hair on tan skin in cosplays. Total turn on ❤️👌

2. Though I always draw her in a super smiley mood, she struggles a lot with keeping that smile. Peach is a girl made of wishes that never came true. Her existence isn't permanent ;w; 

3. That said, Peach is determined to leave some mark on the world, some impact in someone's life! This later becomes helping Mimi graduate as a full fledged licensed magic girl! 

4. Peach is made of the wishes of her "mother." Her mom desired to be a magic girl despite growing up in a very strict, conservative witch family that disliked magic girls. Her mother eventually suppressed the wishes in her heart, but they later took a physical form as Peach! 

5. One idea I had for the story was that Peach hasn't aged since she was created so she stays in the same grade in her witch academy and continuously fails the grade she's in so that she can stalk the magic girl classes during break time! 

6. I think I want Peach's magical powers to be candy-inspired ! But I'm still thinking about it ❤️ 

7. I know Peach is tan skinned but I haven't really worked out races and skin colors in the canon story. I would think that witches have fair, almost vampire-like skin or de-saturated skin tones since they don't go out in light and wear gigantic witch hats. Magic girls probably have more vibrant skin. Not really sure tbh! Open to suggestions! Maybe witches also consume silver-containing products which contributes to a dark, blue, or grey complexion! They have bad eyesight at night! 

8. Peach's broomstick is a gigantic cat-possessed baby rattle. Explanation TBA.

Mimi! My pessimistic magic girl 

1. I want Peach to color her gray, pessimistic world! 

2. Mimi really admires her magic girl mom and desires go be a heroine just like her! The problem is that Mimi doesn't really think like a magic girl at all. She's not into frills or short skirts. She thinks they're not practical to fight in! As a result, she consistently fails her magic girl transformation test until Peach butts in! 

3. At one point, I considered renaming Peach and Mimi because they were mistaken for two very well known artists in a conversation with a friend. Can you guess which artists? 

4. Mimi's magical powers are flight, wing, and Angel-based! It represents her dreams taking flight and becoming reality! 

5. Though pessimistic and often nervous about making mistakes, Mimi has the potential and great resolve. She simply needs direction and guidance that she'll receive from Peach! 

6. Mimi lives with her mom, but I don't know if I want her dad to be a skirt chaser, a human, dead, or a hobo struggling to find a job. Lol. Very open to suggestions. Maybe she gets her personality from her dad. 

7. In the world I've created, witches and magic girls work a partners ! Mimi's and Peach's moms were once partners. Peach and Mimi will also become partners in the future !

8. Inspired by a gift I received from LittleAleu , Mimi's hair turns multicolored when she's using very strong magical powers!
